How To Turn Your Phone Into A Survival Tool

Emergencies happen, and it's always good to be prepared. Having basic first aid kits and an emergency disaster plan for your family is important, but taking a few extra measures to insure the safety of your family can be imperative. This article shows that if you have a phone, then you can enhance your chances of survival in case of an emergency. Smart phones can be useful for more than calling, texting, or updating your status on Facebok; there are several apps out there than can convert your phone into a survival tool.
Below are two very useful apps, click on the link below for more!

Bugle lets you register an activity with details pertaining to the nature of your visit, and the time of your return. If you do not check in at the time of your self-appointed deadline, anyone you have tagged in your circle gets a text or an email alarming them that you have not returned yet. This app is available for free.

Rescue Kit is a simplified, (and less reliable) version of a SPOT satellite beacon. It sends your GPS coordinates to rescuers and automatically prompts the emergency phone numbers used by many different countries. It also contains a flashlight feature that signals SOS in Morse code. This app is available for $2.
